Join us on a walk through some of the island’s most beautiful lanes. We will follow a delightful and gentle route through Grouville countryside and Gorey Village; we'll pause regularly to hear stories about the parish's history, folklore and people. St Lawrence: Sunday 28th December 2025 2-4pm
Join us for an easy walk through the beautiful, leafy lanes of St. Lawrence, pausing regularly to hear tales of the people and events that have formed the character of the parish over the years. We will meet at 1:45pm at the car park beside the Moignard Liberation Garden, just south of St. Lawrence Church. This walk is perfect for those who enjoy slowing the pace, taking in the details of the natural world, and discovering the stories woven into the island’s countryside. St Helier: a journey through time
Discover Helier, the Belgian monk who brought Christianity to the island and was brutally slain by pirates. Visit the Royal Square, centre of Jersey’s Government since the 14th Century and hear about local hero Major Francis Pierson, victor of the Battle of Jersey in 1781. Hear about how a local stonemason rebelled against the German Occupying forces in WWII with a V sign!
